19 of the Russian's twenty-one championships have been earned on hardcourt
A resurgent Medvedev secured his initial championship for nearly 30 months with a win over Frenchman Moutet in the tournament final.
The Russian, a ex- number one, has experienced a difficult season, winning just one match at the Grand Slams and suffering a meltdown at the New York tournament.
The player's unpredictability on the tennis tour - and issues with his serve in particular - caused him falling of the world's top 10 and finally splitting with long-term coach his previous coach.
Currently working with his coach and his other coach, the tennis star has steadily progressed in the past month - culminating in a closely contested three-set win over opponent Moutet.
This marks Medvedev's initial trophy since the 2023 Rome Masters and maiden on a hardcourt since that period of 2023.
The win also signifies the Russian has won twenty-one titles at twenty-one various events.
"For the first time I am participating in a tournament with my two daughters at once, so to get a championship is especially meaningful," said world number 14 Daniil Medvedev.
"This championship is in honour of my younger daughter Victoria, because the first title I got when my older daughter my daughter was delivered was for her."
Medvedev, the past champion, had lost his previous six finals, including in that event earlier this year.
The player's counter-punching approach and frequent reactions on the tennis court had led observers to wonder if his skill to perform at the elite level was over.
However the 29-year-old has implemented adjustments in recent weeks, attempting to approach the net and compete aggressively, reinforced by an improved serving game.
He recovered from a deficit in the first set against the difficult opponent, winning 4 of the last five games to take the lead.
The competitors exchanged service breaks in the second set before the Frenchman, bidding for his maiden professional title, gained dominance to push for a third set.
Moutet saved four early-game opportunities in a tight third set before Medvedev broke to that score to secure the win.
Suitably, he secured victory with a shot at the front of the court, with his opponent incapable to control a shot after over two and a half hours.
